Having trouble logging in to VisiConnect? This guide covers the most common login problems and how to resolve them.
"Invalid Email or Password"
If you see this error message:
- Check for typos: Ensure your email is spelled correctly and there are no extra spaces.
- Check Caps Lock: Passwords are case-sensitive.
- Try the "Forgot Password" link: Reset your password to regain access.
- Verify your account exists: Contact your church administrator to confirm your account was created and is active.
Resetting Your Password
- Go to the VisiConnect login page.
- Click Forgot Password?
- Enter the email address associated with your account.
- Check your email inbox for a password reset link.
- Click the link and create a new password.
Password reset links expire after 24 hours for security. If your link has expired, request a new one.
Didn't Receive the Reset Email?
- Check spam/junk folder: The email may have been filtered.
- Wait a few minutes: Email delivery can sometimes be delayed.
- Verify the email address: Make sure you entered the correct email. Contact your administrator if you're unsure.
- Check with your IT team: Some church email systems block automated messages. Ask them to whitelist VisiConnect emails.
Two-Factor Authentication Issues
If you have 2FA enabled and can't log in:
- Check your authenticator app: Ensure the time on your device is set correctly (automatic time sync is recommended).
- Use a backup code: If you saved backup codes when setting up 2FA, use one to log in.
- Contact your administrator: An admin can temporarily disable 2FA on your account so you can regain access.
Account Locked
After multiple failed login attempts, your account may be temporarily locked for security. Wait 15 minutes and try again, or contact your administrator to unlock your account immediately.
"Account Inactive" Message
If you see a message that your account is inactive, your access has been deactivated by your church administrator. This may happen if you've changed roles or are no longer serving in a position that requires VisiConnect access. Contact your administrator to discuss reactivating your account.
Browser Issues
Sometimes browser problems can prevent login:
- Clear cache and cookies: Old data can interfere with authentication.
- Try a different browser: VisiConnect works best on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
- Disable browser extensions: Some ad blockers or privacy extensions can block login functionality.
- Update your browser: Ensure you're using a recent version.
Still Can't Log In?
If none of these solutions work, contact your church's VisiConnect administrator. They can:
- Verify your account status
- Reset your password manually
- Check for any technical issues on the account
