The staff dashboard provides an overview of each staff member's responsibilities, tasks, and assigned visitors. It's the central hub for managing your connection workflow.
Accessing the Dashboard
Each staff member sees a personalized dashboard when they log in. The dashboard shows information relevant to their role and assigned visitors. Admins can also view any staff member's dashboard by clicking View Dashboard from the staff management page.
Dashboard Sections
My Assigned Visitors
A summary card showing:
- Total number of assigned visitors
- First-time visitors (highlighted)
- Second-time visitors
- Third-time visitors
Click any number to see the full list of visitors in that category.
Pending Tasks
A list of follow-up tasks assigned to you, sorted by priority and due date. Each task shows:
- Visitor name
- Task type (Phone Call, Email, Meeting, etc.)
- Due date
- Priority level (High, Normal, Low)
Click on a task to open the visitor's profile and complete the task.
Recent Activity
A feed of recent events related to your assigned visitors:
- New visitors assigned to you
- Check-ins from your visitors
- Tasks completed by you or colleagues
- Emails sent to your visitors
Quick Actions
Shortcuts to common tasks:
- Check-in Visitor: Opens the check-in panel.
- Add New Visitor: Opens the new visitor form.
- Search Visitors: Quick search across your assigned visitors.
- Send Message: Compose an email or SMS.
Task Management from the Dashboard
You can manage tasks directly from the dashboard without opening each visitor's profile:
- Mark Complete: Click the checkmark icon next to a task to mark it done.
- Snooze: Click the clock icon to postpone a task to a later date.
- Reassign: Click the person icon to assign the task to another staff member (requires appropriate permissions).
Filtering and Searching
Use the search bar at the top of the dashboard to quickly find visitors or tasks. The search is scoped to your assigned visitors and tasks.
Additional filters are available:
- Visitor Status: Filter by First-Time, Second-Time, Third-Time, etc.
- Task Priority: Show only high, normal, or low priority tasks.
- Date Range: View activity from the past day, week, or month.
Dashboard Notifications
The dashboard displays real-time notifications for important events:
- New visitor assigned
- High-priority task created
- Visitor replied to an email or SMS
- Task is overdue
Click the bell icon in the header to view all notifications.
Admin Dashboard View
Admins see an enhanced dashboard with church-wide metrics:
- Total visitors across all staff
- Visits this week/month
- Overall follow-up task completion rate
- Staff workload distribution
This bird's-eye view helps leaders ensure no visitor falls through the cracks.
Customizing the Dashboard
Some dashboard elements can be customized to match your workflow:
- Click Customize in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
- Toggle sections on or off.
- Drag and drop to reorder sections.
- Click Save Layout when finished.
