Account settings control your personal user profile, security preferences, and notification options. Each staff member can customize their own account settings.

Accessing Account Settings

Click your name or avatar in the top-right corner of the screen, then select Account Settings from the dropdown menu.

Profile Information

Manage your personal details:

  • Name: Your display name as it appears to other staff and in communications.
  • Email: Your login email address. Changing this requires verification.
  • Phone Number: Optional. Used for two-factor authentication and staff notifications.
  • Job Title: Your role at the church (e.g., "Connection Pastor," "Greeter").
  • Profile Photo: Upload a headshot (optional). Appears in staff directories and assigned visitor views.

Security Settings

Change Password

Update your password regularly for security:

  1. Click Change Password in the Security section.
  2. Enter your current password.
  3. Enter a new password (minimum 8 characters, including uppercase, lowercase, and numbers).
  4. Confirm the new password.
  5. Click Update Password.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Add an extra layer of security to your account:

  1. Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
  2. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.).
  3. Enter the verification code from your app.
  4. Save your backup codes in a secure location.
  5. Click Activate.

Once enabled, you'll need to enter a code from your authenticator app each time you log in.

Login History

View recent login activity for your account, including:

  • Date and time of each login
  • IP address and approximate location
  • Device and browser information

If you see suspicious activity, change your password immediately and contact your administrator.

Notification Preferences

Control which notifications you receive and how:

Email Notifications

  • New Visitor Assigned: Receive an email when a visitor is assigned to you.
  • Task Reminders: Daily digest of upcoming and overdue tasks.
  • Weekly Summary: Weekly report of your visitor activity.
  • Visitor Replies: Notification when a visitor replies to an email or SMS.

In-App Notifications

  • New Tasks: Bell notification when a task is assigned to you.
  • Task Due Soon: Reminder when a task is due within 24 hours.
  • Staff Mentions: Alert when you're mentioned in a note or comment.

Notification Schedule

Set quiet hours to avoid notifications during specific times (e.g., overnight or on your day off). Notifications received during quiet hours are held and delivered when quiet hours end.

Display Preferences

  • Timezone: Set your local timezone for accurate date/time display.
  • Date Format: Choose between MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY, or YYYY-MM-DD.
  • Language: Select your preferred interface language (English currently supported).

Session Management

View and manage your active sessions:

  • See all devices where you're currently logged in.
  • Log out of specific sessions remotely.
  • Log out of all other sessions (useful if you think your account is compromised).

Export Personal Data

Download a copy of all data associated with your account, including your activity log, assigned visitors, and settings. Click Export My Data to request a download.

Security Tip: Enable two-factor authentication for the best account security. If your church handles sensitive visitor information, 2FA is strongly recommended for all staff accounts.
